Donnie McClurkin who was born in South Carolina grew up in Amityville, on Long Island. At age  eight, his two-year-old brother was hit and killed by a speeding driver. Soon after the loss, Donnie experienced family turmoil due to the loss of his brother and shortly there after he was a victim of childhood sexual abuse at the hands of his great uncle, and years after that by his great uncle's son.

Unknown gunmen, Monday, shot dead Lagos State Coordinator of The Lord’s Chosen Charis-matic Revival Ministries, Pastor Chukwuemeka Okpokpo, at Apple Junction, Amuwo Odofin area of the state.  The gunmen, said to have used a motorcycle, reportedly trailed the deceased from a Diamond Bank branch, where he had gone to withdraw N3 million for the church.

The man suspected of shooting dead nine people at an African-American church in Charleston, South Carolina, is due to make his first court appearance.
Dylann Roof, 21, was detained more than 200 miles away in North Carolina and flown back to Charleston.

Police are treating the killings as a hate crime.

The 21-year-old Dylann Roof, suspected of shooting dead nine people at a black church in the southeastern US city of Charleston has been captured, media reports said few minutes ago.  Dylann Roof was taken into custody in North Carolina, according to CNN and two local television stations.
