LAGOS TRAFFIC: Ambode assesses flashpoints, relocates bus terminals...

Image result for ambode Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State yesterday, visited some of the major traffic flaspoints in the metropolis, stating that his administration will provide solutions to traffic snarls in the state just as he approved the construction of a pedestrian bridge at Ojodu Berger Bus Stop.  The Governor, who spoke at Dopemu in Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area, after the inspection, said he decided to carry out the personal assessment to get a first hand experience of what the situation is.  “We’ve been to 3rd Mainland, Oworonshoki, Ketu, Abule-Egba, Alimosho and Mile 12. 

Charleston church shooting: Dylann Roof to appear in court...

Image result for dylan roofThe man suspected of shooting dead nine people at an African-American church in Charleston, South Carolina, is due to make his first court appearance.
Dylann Roof, 21, was detained more than 200 miles away in North Carolina and flown back to Charleston.
Police are treating the killings as a hate crime.

Disney Set To Produce Maleficent 2; Will Angelina Jolie Return?

Image result for maleficentAngelina Jolie is said to have asked to be kept "in the loop" about the sequel to her Disney blockbuster Maleficent, although she hasn't yet signed on to play the famous villain again.
The actress has recently focused on her work off-screen, directing two films and continuing her humanitarian work for the UN, but still could be tempted to reprise the character that she was vocal about her appreciation for.

Helen Mirren turned the air blue on Tuesday as she revealed her feelings surrounding ageism in Hollywood. Referring to recent comments made by Oscar nominee Maggie Gyllenhaal - who revealed that she was told that she was "too old to play the lover of a man who was 55" - the veteran performer didn't hold back. "It's fucking outrageous - it's ridiculous - honestly," she told  The Wrap.
