Happily ever after

Mike and I have been friends since childhood, when we were in J.S.S. 3, we decided to date officially.

My friends always told me that i was a fool, that Mike was a Casanova and would only hurt me but I turned deaf ear to all their talks; I was living in my fantasy. Our peers always referred to our union as a 'Fairy Tale' because we were always having issues. Yes, Mike and I were in love but he was always hurting me with harsh words and nonchalant attitude he always displayed whenever he wanted to 'form big boy' in front of his friends. So one fateful day, after school, i called him to a corner and broke up with him saying, "I don't ever want to see you again."
A few months later, I still couldn't get the picture of Mike and I together forever off my head. I thought I was going crazy, and to make matters worse, he didn't go beyond a few missed calls and one 'I'm sorry' text message...He stopped trying and started acting as if I never existed. When I couldn't shake off the feeling of emptiness in my heart, I unfortunately realized I loved Mike more than any of us was ready to admit, so I went back to him after school one day and said, "Mike, I'll give you just one more chance. I love you and I need you. Just promise that you will never hurt me again."
But to my greatest shock, Mike laughed out loud and said to me, "Only a fool would take back someone after breaking up with them."
I felt stupid and hopeless. It was as  if the whole world was whirling around, I ran to the back of the classroom and began to cry, but after a few seconds I felt a soft palm touching my back in the most tender way I had ever imagined. When I looked up, it was Mike, he put his arms around me held me tightly and said, "...and I am one of those fools, Gloria."
Today, Mike and I are living happily ever after, our marriage is blessed with two cute sons and a daughter.
Fairy tales do come true after all....
