Long-lost diamond ring found in old NY log...

A diamond ring lost for some 30 years has been found by preservationists dismantling a 19th-century log cabin so it can be moved to another town in northern New York.
The Watertown Daily Times reports, Beverly Parmeter says her son dropped her ring in a gap in their cabin in Lisbon, on the Canadian border.
Parmeter says she searched for the ring but never did find it by the time they moved out in 1989.

The wife of a museum board member found the ring this week while sifting through a bucket of construction debris. Read more on yahoo.
