WHAT to wear to your own wedding is a big enough decision
for any bride, but when you've spent more than two decades working
in fashion, and the choices are therefore limitless, the decision
must be even trickier. Perhaps that's why Frida Giannini, the
former Gucci creative director, turned to two old friends for her
wedding gown.Walking down the aisle to wed former Gucci
CEO Patrizio di Marco on Friday night in Rome, Giannini
and the couple's daughter, Greta, both wore pale pink dresses made
by Valentino creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo
Piccioli. The couple, who both departed Gucci at the same time, have not yet announced
what their next move will be but, thanks to their perfectly timed
nuptials, if they do re-enter the fashion arena, at least they
won't have to argue over what to call it.
