A woman stabbed to death by her husband over 'infidelity'...

Image result for stabbed to deathAt Ojoku area, around Olodi-Apapa-Lagos, a 31-year-old man, Michael David, allegedly stabbed his wife, Onyinyechi Dennis, to death. Mr. David appeared before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos today.  The accused, who resides in , is facing a charge of murder. Inspector Emmanuel Ajayi, the Prosecutor, told the court that the offence was committed on April 7, at No. 24, Ojoku Street, Olodi Apapa in Lagos.

EU provides N4.7bn in aid for Boko Haram victims...

Image result for EUThe European Commission said on Thursday that it is providing N4.7 billion in aid to affected by the activities of Boko Haram insurgents.  This is contained in a statement issued by the European Union (EU) Secretariat in Abuja.  “The new EU funding will provide immediate support, including clean water, food, shelter, healthcare and protection to the displaced and the host communities in the north-east of Nigeria.  “It will also provide support to Nigerian refugees in the neighbouring countries. 

Saraki takes battle to Obasanjo’s Hilltop Mansion...

Image result for obasanjoFormer President Olusegun Obasanjo, the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki and others, Friday, were reported to be in a closed-door meeting at the Obasanjo’s Hilltop Mansion in Abeokuta.  The meeting which is taking place as at press time at the Obasanjo’s Hilltop Mansion, the Ogun State capital, is in connection with the battle to retain his election as Senate President.

Image result for amaechi gov  Northern community in the South South has called on President Muhamadu Buhari to adequately reward former governor Chibuike Amaechi for the role he played in making him President of the country.  Speaking at the end of a meeting of the body yesterday in Port Harcourt, Chairman of the northern community in the South south, Alhaji Muhamadu Ali-Kwande lauded former governor Amaechi, describing him as one of the few courageous and transparent Nigerians President Buhari should have around him in government.
